Snack time will be in the afternoon during recess. You may send snack or send money to purchase a snack. All students are asked to purchase a lunch bag. Please do not send beverages in glass bottles.
Students are expected to come to school prepared with a notebook, two pencils, required textbooks and all homework assignments. A homework/behavior folder will be sent home daily. This will provide information concerning your child's class work, behavior and homework. This needs to be signed by a parent each night. Homework will be given Monday through Thursday. Reading homework; study assignments, and projects will be given on Friday's. Tests will be given on Friday's and sent home on Monday's. Please review them, sign and return the following day.
Students will participate in the "Book It" Reading Club. Each month, they will receive a new form. For every 14 books they read, they will receive a Pizza Hut certificate. Students are expected to turn in a form each month. The student who reads the most books at the end of the year will receive a trophy. Please encourage your child by reading at least one book to him/her each night and recording the title on the Book It reading form. Student will be allowed to borrow 2 books from the school library each week. Library books must be returned the following week.
